Man Utd legend trolls Liverpool after Champions League defeat

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has taken to social media to troll Liverpool after their Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid last night.

Neville, a self confessed United fan has no love-lost for his former sides greatest rivals, and had even begged former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo for a favour to stop the most embarrassing of seasons taking shape.

United have watched noisy neighbours Manchester City scamper away with the league title by a massive 19 point gap, while United tasted defeat in last weeks FA Cup final against Chelsea. A sixth European title for Liverpool would have capped off the most embarrassing of situations for all United fans.

While much of the focus had been on Cristiano Ronaldo before the game, it was Gareth Bale who stole the show with a sensational gravity defying bycicle kick to restore Realโ€™s advantage, before the second howler in the game from Loris Karius handed Madrid their 13th European Cup:

Responding to DJ Spoony, who had promised to give Neville some stick before the match, the former Man Utd captain took to twitter to reveal his witty remake of Liverpoolโ€™s โ€œAllez, Allez, Allezโ€ song:

Maybe Nevilleโ€™s lyrics will be adopted by United fans next season?
