Man Utd and Spurs look to sign Ryan Sessegnon

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in making a late move to sign Ryan Sessegnon according to reports today.

Jose Mourinho recently declared that Manchester United’s transfer activity for this summer is as good as over. The Portuguese has strengthened his squad with the additions of Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic, and Victor Lindelof. Mourinho was hoping to get an attacking winger, his extended pursuit of Inter’s Ivan Perisic has been the subject of Italian media outlets as well as English.

Mourinho seems to be planning for the future now. One which might include 17-year-old Ryan Sessegnon, Fulham’s young star in the Championship. Sky Sports are reporting that United are in the race to sign Sessegnon, along with Tottenham Hotspur, should he become available.

Sessegnon has made great strides

In the past year, young Sessegnon has made great strides in his club and country career. Making 26 appearances for Fulham, Sessegnon impressed at club level. For his country. Sessegnon has featured in U19 Euros Championship, which the young Three Lions won.

Since he turned out as a professional for Fulham, Spurs have been keeping tabs on him. Pocchettino’s side have been the rumoured front-runners for his signature, with Liverpool also having being linked in the past. However, they seem unwilling to match the price, at which Fulham have made Sessegnon available.

Sky Sources understand that Mourinho is a keen admirer of the left-sided attack minded full back. They also claim that United would be willing to let him return to Fulham on loan if a deal can be done.

Nonetheless, Fulham owner Shahid Khan remains adamant to keep Sessegnon at any cost and isn’t prepared to sell the club’s young star, even at a price of £25million.
