Manchester United have entered the race for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, report the Express.
Chelsea were heavily linked with the player and had several bids turned down last summer. Antonio Conte is a huge fan of the player and is expected to ask his club to begin bidding again in January.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has had problems at left-back since his arrival at Old Trafford. The Portuguese boss does not rate Luke Shaw, and wants to offload him in January. Ashley Young has been playing well in the role of left-wing back as of late, although Mourinho does not see him a long-term solution.
Alex Sandro joined Juve from Porto in 2015 and has won two Scudetto’s in his short time in Italy. With both Premier League clubs currently favouring a 3-5-2 formation, the 26-year-old’s pace and power would make him a perfect candidate for the left-wing back role.
The Brazil international is keen on a move to the Premier League, although Juventus are said to be determined to extract a fee in excess of £60 million for the player.
