Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has provided an injury update on his squad ahead of this weekend’s Premier League meeting with Luton Town.ย
The Red Devils currently have six first-team players on the treatment table, including Luke Shaw, Mason Mount, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia.
Lisandro Martinez is expected to be out for eight weeks after sustaining an injury to the medial collateral ligament in his knee against West Ham United, while Anthony Martial underwent surgery on a groin issue and could return in late March.
Ten Hag says that Shaw is a doubt for Sunday’s game, while Wan-Bissaka (leg), Mount (calf) and Malacia (knee) still need more time to recover.
Man United injury update from Erik ten Hag:
“Luke Shaw is doubtful for the weekend,” Ten Hag said in Thursday’s press conference.
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka will take some weeks because he picked up another injury training last week.
“Mason Mount and Tyrell Malacia need some more weeks.
“Malacia had setbacks during his rehab process. It takes too long, it’s bad for him and bad for us. We have turned a point and he will return to the pitch, it won’t be long until he is in team training.”
