Man United board worried Mourinho is not good enough

Several members of Manchester United’s board are said to be worried that Jose Mourinho is not as good of a manager as the club thought he would be.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, senior sources at Old Trafford have become exasperated with the Portuguese manager’s negative playing style, and his constant pickering with other managers and pundits in the media.

‘Jose is not the manager we thought he was,’

‘We are worried. We know the fans hate the football, and we won’t win the league for three or four years. He’s also too insecure and gets involved in things away from the football.’ A senior source told the Mail.

Things have come to a head after United’s embarrassing display against Sevilla on Tuesday saw them dumped out of the Champions League.

Although Mourinho is still said to have the full backing of the Old Trafford club’s CEO Ed Woodward, reports that other members of the United’s board are unhappy with his methods will surely only increase the pressure on him.
