Griezmann’s lethal finishing ability have elevated him to the level of superstar in recent seasons, and he looked close to joining United in the summer, but the move fell apart when Atletico’s transfer ban was upheld and they were unable to sign a replacement.

Jose Mourinho is a huge admirer of the 26-year-old and wants to add mire firepower to his squad, so a move to Old Trafford may well suit all parties.
