Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have both been dealt a major blow with Fulham’s wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon looking set to stay at Craven Cottage.
The 18-year-old has been tipped for stardom ever since he made his debut just after he turned 16, and has attracted interest not just from the Premier League’s top clubs but also European giants like PSG and Real Madrid.
Sessegnon has been Fulham’s star man in a superb season in the Championship for the London club which culminated with a 1-0 play-off final victory over Aston Villa at the weekend and promotion back to the top flight for the first time since 2014.
Despite most observers expecting the talented youngster to move to an elite club this summer for a substantial transfer fee, Fulham owner Shahid Khan has confirmed that the Cottagers have no intention of letting the talented youngster go.
Also and more importantly it seems Sessegnon does not want to leave either and wants a chance to represent his boyhood club in the Premier League.
“We don’t want Sessegnon leaving,” Khan told the The Times.
“I don’t think he wants to go.
“He’s going to be at Fulham for the coming year, leading us into the Premier League.
“He’s been there since he was eight. We want to do the right thing for him and he is Fulham through and through. He is going to be there next season.”
