Despite their dominance of the Premier League this season Manchester City are set to spend big again this summer and have made Monaco winger Thomas Lemar one of their main attacking targets.

Pep Guardiola is also said to be keen on signing Chelsea star Eden Hazard, although according to Spanish publication Sport the Citizens see 22-year-old Lemar as a more attainable target.

Lemar rose to prominence during Monaco’s superb run to the Champions League semi-finals last season, and quickly became one of Europe’s most sought after young attacking talents.

The left footed France international is renowned for his devastating pace, skill and shooting ability.

He came close to joining Arsenal during the summer transfer window after Monaco accepted a £90 million pound bid, although the player decided against a move to The Emirates.

Lemar has made clear to Monaco that he has no intention of signing an extension to his contract that runs until 2020, and is said to be keen on a move to England.

It seems that Premier League rivals Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all set for a summer battle to secure the services of the highly rated attacker who is rated at £80-100 million by his club.
