Man City cannot catch a break these days.ย
The Premier League champions suffered another setback in their bid to retain the title for a fifth consecutive year on Saturday when they drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The visitors were largely second best to the Eagles after Daniel Munoz gave them an early lead. Erling Haaland brought them level with a headed goal after half an hour, but Maxence Lacroix hit back with one of his own in the second half.
Man City equalised a second time when Rico Lewis found the back of the net in the 68th minute, but couldn’t find a winner to leave them with just one win in their last nine games in all competitions.

Man City dealt blow as Lewis suspended for Man Utd clash
While the result will no doubt be disappointing for Pep Guardiola, the beleaguered manager has been handed yet another blow ahead of next week’s Manchester Derby against Man Utd.
Lewis was shown a second yellow card late in the tie for a lunging challenge on Trevoh Chalobah, reducing Man City to ten men for the final six minutes plus stoppage time.
As a red card arising from two bookings can’t be appealed, the youngster will miss the game against United at Eastlands next Sunday.ย The 20-year-old has been a regular for Man City this season, starting 12 of their 15 Premier League matches.
It’s one more to add to the lengthy list of absences for the club this term. Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake are the latest players on the treatment table, joining John Stones, Mateo Kovacic, Rodriย and Oscar Bobb. Phil Foden missed the Palace game through illness.
