Stoke City are close to signing Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph.

The former England midfielder has failed to make and impact since moving to the Etihad in 2015. The midfielder made an £8m from Aston Villa after an impressive campaign which saw the Villains reach the FA Cup final.

However, since then, Delph has made only 24 League appearances for the Citizens and has been told by Pep Guardiola he is not a part of his plans, and has been left out of the clubs pre-season tour of the USA.

According to the Daily Star, the 27-year-old is now on the verge of completing a £10m move to fellow Premier League club Stoke City.

He has also been offered the chance to move to West Bromwich Albion, but the midfielder prefers to play under Mark Hughes over Tony Pulis.

Delph’ Manchester City team mates kick off their pre-season tonight with an eagerly awaited Manchester Derby against United in Houston, Texas.
