Guardiola describes playing Klopp’s teams as ‘an incredible pleasure.’

Premier League fans from around the World will tune in tonight to watch the two title favourites, Man City and Liverpool, battle it out at the Etihad in a game that is being billed as the game of the season.

Liverpool are currently seven points clear of reigning Premier League Champions City and Jurgen Klopp will be confident heading into the eagerly awaited encounter, with the German coach currently ahead of Guardiola in their head-to-head battle as coaches.

However, despite Klopp being the only elite level coach to be able to consistently get the better of Guardiola, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach has revealed that he always looks forward to competing against his colleague.

“It’s an incredible pleasure. I’m a manager to play these kind of games to see what we can do on the big stage with a lot of people supporting us in our stadium,” Guardiola told his pre-match press conference.

“It’s a dream to play these kind of games. It’s when I’m most calm, more relaxed. I know the players have the responsibility and will give the best performance they can.”
