When you thought that having a 16 point lead at the top of the Premier League wasn’t enough, Manchester City are planning on strengthening their side again with another club record transfer according to reports today.
City have been simply sensational this season, and could wrap up the title within the next two weeks, with Guardiola’s men needing just two more victories to claim the title.
However, as the old adage goes, ‘strengthen from a position of strength,’ and it seems that is exactly what Manchester City are planning on doing.
According to The Sun, Manchester City are resurrecting their interest in Real Madrid ace, Isco.
The Cityzens have twice been linked with a move for the Spaniard in recent years, but on both occasions he has decided to remain at the Bernabeu.
However, despite him seemingly always putting in a performance for the reigning European champions, he is not a first choice starter under Zinedine Zidane, starting in just 18 of Los Blancos’ 29 La Liga games so far this season.
It is claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side will make a whopping £75 million move for Isco, who scored a hat-trick for Spain on Tuesday against Argentina in Madrid.
However with Real Madrid planning a huge revamp of the squad themselves to close the current 15 point gap to Barcelona, Isco is likely to quit the club his summer.
Arsenal and Man Utd have both been linked in the past, as have Real’s great rivals Barcelona, but he is thought to be keen on working with Pep Guardiola.
