Manchester City coach Mikel Arteta reckons his clubs multi-talented squad is the best in World Football.
The Etihad outfit romped to Premier League glory last season in record breaking fashion and are the bookies favourites to win this years Champions League.
However, while Arteta has insisted that the Man City squad are hungry for more success, he also admitted that he thinks current holders Real Madrid should be the favourites to win Europes most prestigious competition this season.
“For me we have the best players in the world and I look at our players as if they are the best. I wouldn’t change the players for any others.” Arteta told the press ahead of City’s opening Champions League game against Lyon.
“They are absolutely fantastic. The hunger is this group is incredible.”said Arteta, but he changed his tack when asked who he views as favourites.
“It has to be Real Madrid. They are the main favourites. The rest have to catch up.”
