Lukaku tells Manchester United teammates to man up

Romelu Lukaku has told his Manchester United teammates to man up, and deal with any criticism that Jose Mourinho sends their way.

Manchester United have had a dreadful start to the season, winning just half of their opening 12 Premier League matches so far, leaving them languishing in eighth in the table.

Much has been made in the media about Jose Mourinho’s relationship with his players, with the likes of Paul Pogba, Alexis Sanchez, Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial all being publicly criticised by their manager.

However, United number 9 Romelu Lukaku has told his Red Devils teammates to stop sulking about being criticised and ‘deal with it’:

“I think he has a good relationship with the players,” Lukaku told Bleacher Report.

“I don’t really pay attention to what his relationship is with the other players, to be honest. I don’t think it’s something that should affect me.

“If he has an argument with somebody I mean, deal with it, man. You’re a grown-a*** man, deal with it.”

Lukaku is a doubt for Saturday’s clash at Old Trafford against Crystal Palace.
