When Manchester United gazumped Manchester City to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January many felt the talented attacker was the missing piece of the jigsaw for Jose Mourinho.
However, things have not gone as expected since the Chile international swapped the Emirates for Old Trafford, with the 29-year-old scoring just once in 10 appearances for his new club, and in general looking a shadow of the player Premier League fans had seen over the previous few seasons.
Another of United’s new recruits striker Romelu Lukaku who signed from Everton for ยฃ75 million last summer has also found it difficult at times this season, and the Belgium international has now advised Sanchez how best he can rediscover top form.
โAs long as he keeps working hard like he does, I think heโll come good for us,โย
โHe is a quality player with a lot of assets. Look at my situation. I started really well and then had the dry spell in November and December.
โBut at the end of the day with hard work you are always going to get through it.โ Lukaku said.
