Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has admitted that he hopes to play in Serie A one day, describing Juventus as ‘a great project’.
He made an instant impact at Old Trafford, scoring 27 goals in his debut campaign, and has already found the net four times for United this season.
However, when asked if he would be open to a future move to Italy, the 25-year-old told Gazzetta dello Sport: “Why not? I hope it happens.”
Manchester United are due to play Juventus next week in their Champions League Group stage game at Old Trafford, and the striker has been full of praise for the Italian champions.
“Juve have a great project in place and they just keep going. Every year they try to get stronger.’’ He continued.
“Without doubt, Juve are one of the two or three best teams in Europe. They’ve got a great coach on the bench and extraordinary players in every area of the team.
“Cristiano Ronaldo stands out, but watch out for the others too. Paulo Dybala is already impressive and getting stronger, while I love Douglas Costa.”
