Ruben Loftus-Cheek has said that while he is disappointed not to be getting more game time at Chelsea, he is willing to be patient to get his chance.
His form for the Eagles propelled him into the England squad for this summers World Cup, but after opting to stay at Chelsea for the 2018/19 campaign, he seems set for a spell on the fringes of Maurizio Sarri’s side.
However, with N’Golo Kante and new £57 million signing Jorginho ahead of him in the pecking order, the 22-year-old has said that he is willing to bide his time for his opportunity:
“I’d like to have more appearances by now, but it’s just the way my journey has gone, and I just have to be patient with it,” he told Sky Sports.
“I can see it as a positive; I’m playing for England, playing well when I play, and that’s without too many appearances so it’s still raw in that sense.”
Loftus-Cheek has made two Premier League appearances this season, both from the bench.
