Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been giving his opinion on Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and comparing him to his old teammate, Thibaut Courtois.
Kepa signed from Athletic Bilbao for €80 million during the summer and has started all 15 Premier League games for The Blues since his arrival.
Loftus-Cheek feels that one of the main positives about Kepa’s game is how good he is with his feet.
“Kepa is not the tallest compared to Thibaut, but he is so good with his feet. It just makes you feel comfortable when he is in possession,’’ Loftus-Cheek told the London Evening Standard.
“It is what we need with the boss wanting us to play out from the back. He has been a really great addition.”
Chelsea face an absolutely massive game on Saturday evening as they welcome Premier League leaders and title-holders, Manchester City, to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have not lost a home league game under Maurizio Sarri so far.
Against City, Kepa is sure to be busy as the league’s most prolific scorers will be bearing down on his goal at every opportunity.
At the other end, Kepa will get to witness first-hand the ground-game of City’s goalkeeper, Ederson. The Brazilian international is widely considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world with the ball at his feet.
