Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek insists he is ‘raring to go’ after seeing an increased involvement under Maurizio Sarri in recent weeks.
Having struggled for opportunities earlier in the season, the England international has impressed since returning to the first-team, scoring twice in his past three league appearances.
“It’s been really good for my confidence,” he said.
“I’ve had a lot more game-time on the pitch and I’ve been doing well when I’ve played so I’m raring to go at the minute.
“I want to enjoy it and improve on my game as much as I can when I’m playing. It’s given me more confidence that the manager is playing me more so I’m heading in the right direction.”
Having started amongst the substitutes for last weekend’s win over champions Manchester City, Loftus-Cheek will be hoping to return to the starting line-up when Chelsea face Brighton at The Amex Stadium on Sunday.
The midfielder spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, but has been denied a similar move away this time round.
