Liverpool line up potential Andy Robertson replacement

Liverpool are pursuing a deal to sign Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez as the club look for a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson.

Kerkez has caught the eye since his £15m move to Bournemouth in 2023, with Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes having overseen that deal during his time on the south coast.

He has two assists in 12 appearances this season and has impressed with his energetic displays for the Cherries.

Liverpool are looking at long-term options with Robertson set to turn 31 in March and Kostas Tsimikas approaching 29. Kerkez was linked with Liverpool before his move to Bournemouth and is a teammate of Dominik Szoboszlai with Hungary. He has already won 21 caps for the national team.

Sky Germany are reporting that Liverpool are actively pursuing a deal for the defender, while Manchester United have also placed Kerkez on their shortlist of options.

Ruben Amorim has made the signing of a new left-back the priority at Old Trafford. United have also been linked with Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies – who will be a free agent in the summer – and AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez.
