Liverpool to make shock midfielder move

Fresh of the back of their superb opening day victory against Arsenal yesterday, Liverpool have been linked with making a surprise move for Inter Milan midfielder Gary Medel.

Jurgen Klopp has already added Georgino Wijnaldum and Marko Grujic to his midfield ranks this summer, but is now being linked with making a move for the 29-year old Chilean.

Medel moved to Inter Milan in 2014 after a brief spell in the Premier League with Cardiff City, but was unable to prevent their relegation back to the Championship before he made the move to play for the Serie A giants.

Klopp watched Medel at the Copa America this summer, where the Chilean was named player of the tournament, and according to Corrierre della Sera, has now made a move to sign the midfielder.
