Juventus seem to have beaten off competition from Bayern Munich and Man City for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, although Sky Sports report that the deal will not go through until next summer.

The 23-year-old has been the subject of intense media speculation over the last few months with his contract at Anfield coming to an end next June.

Can joined Liverpool in 2014 from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and has gone on to make over 100 Premier League appearances for The Reds and has become an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s side.

At 23 many believe the Germany international will develop into a world-class player over the coming years, and Liverpool will be unhappy to lose him especially on a free transfer.

Serie A Champions Juventus have been long-term admirers of the talented midfielders and are confident of him wearing the famous black and white next season after offering him a lucrative five year deal.
