Liverpool are reported to be finally ready to sell Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona according to reports in Spain.

Coutinho was one of the summer’s big stories as Barcelona looked to replace the outgoing Neymar, who completed a world record move to Paris Saint Germain.

However, Jurgen Klopp was insistent that the Brazilian would not be sold, and as the window progressed, it was clear that the German was true to his word.

However, that could be about to change, as reports in Spanish publication Sport claim that Coutinho has once again expressed his desire to leave Liverpool, something that the Premier League club are considering.

The 25-year-old’s agent has been in constant contact with both clubs as he looks to broker an amicable exit for his client in either January, or next summer.

Barcelona have not been put off the fact that Coutinho would ineligible to play for them in the latter stages of this season’s Champions League thanks to his involvement in Liverpool’s opening group game against Sevilla.

Coutinho scored his first goal of the season on Saturday, scoring an excellent free kick as the Reds beat Leicester.
