Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be set to test Barcelona’s resolve by making an £85m bid for French star Ousmane Dembele.
Yesterday, The Football Faithful brought you comments made by his agent indicating the talented winger would be staying at The Camp Nou, but The Sun are reporting that Liverpool and Klopp have been left undeterred by his comments, and are keen to launch a January raid to bring Dembele to the Premier League.
The 21-year-old has failed to truly settle in Spain due to a combination of injury and disciplinary problems which have hampered his progress since a £97m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
France coach Didier Deschamps also revealed the youngster has a habit of turning up late to training.
Klopp has been keen to add firepower to his side with a wide forward targeted and the rumoured £85m fee would break Liverpool’s current transfer-record, set last January in securing the signing of Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton.
