Liverpool outcast finally set for Anfield departure

Liverpool outcast Luis Alberto is on the brink of completing a £4.3million transfer.

Alberto has travelled to Italy for a medical with Lazio ahead of the transfer after failing to impress either Brendan Rodgers or Jurgen Klopp during his time at the club.

The Spaniard spent three years at Anfield, but was limited to just TWO starts for the club. In total he made 12 appearances for the club, failing to score a single goal.

He spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna where he made 29 appearances and scored six goals in La Liga.

He departs Anfield for just £4.3million, a fee less than the £6.8million that Liverpool paid Sevilla for his services in 2013. However, Lazio will pay additional money if they qualify for Europe this season, as well as 30% of any future transfer from the club.
