Liverpool have reportedly made contact with PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot over a potential transfer.
The Frenchman is in high demand, attracting the attention of some major European heavyweights including Barcelona, Juventus and Arsenal, with that interest only heightened due to the situation surrounding his contract at PSG.
The 23-year-old has less than one year remaining on his current deal at the Parc des Princes and has so far turned down multiple attempts by the French champions to tie him down to a new deal.
Jurgen Klopp is thought to be a big admirer of Rabiot, having tried to sign him during his time as Borussia Dortmund manager, while Rabiot has already admitted that he grew up loving Liverpool.
“I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young,” he told RMC radio station last October.
Now, according to ESPN, Jurgen Klopp has made contact with the midfielder as he lays the foundations of a potential free transfer.
With his deal set to expire next summer, he would become a free agent, and is also able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club outside of France from January onwards.
