Liverpool are considering an approach to sign Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo as the club assess potential replacements for Mohamed Salah.

Salah is expected to be subject of huge bids from the Saudi Pro League once again this summer, after Liverpool turned down an offer in the region of £150m from the Middle East in 2023.

The 31-year-old will enter the final 12 months of his deal at Anfield at the end of the season and a decision will be made on Salah’s future amid anticipated interest, despite another superb campaign that has seen the Egyptian score 19 goals and provide 10 assists in all competitions,

Among the options being looked at as a potential replacement for Salah is Mbeumo, who has been one of Brentford’s leading performers since promotion to the Premier League.

The 24-year-old has 38 goals and assists in 88 top-flight appearances from the right-wing and the Express are reporting that Liverpool will target a cut-price deal should the Bees be relegated.

Thomas Frank’s side are currently 16th, just five points above the Premier League’s relegation places. The west Londoners are currently without Mbeumo, who was sidelined for three months in December with an ankle injury.
