Manchester United and Liverpool face off in the Premier League at Old Trafford this weekend and Jurgen Klopp was busy singing the praises of his team’s upcoming opponents today.
Klopp highlighted United’s strengths in both the attacking and defensive thirds of the pitch as well as the fact that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has his side brimming with confidence since taking charge.
“Sunday’s game is a big one. It is a difficult one. They are physically strong and defend well and attack well,” Klopp told his pre-match press conference.
“They scored brilliant goals against Chelsea and are full of confidence. We will go there and try to get a result there.”
In a game where the form book can go out the window, Klopp and his Liverpool side know that Old Trafford will be a cauldron of noise on Sunday. There will be no room for shrinking violets.
Solskjaer and co will be looking to put a dent in Liverpool’s title hopes while also maintaining their own charge for a top-four spot.
