Jurgen Klopp feels that we are likely to see a visible on-the-pitch reaction from his Liverpool team after falling to another Champions League defeat during the week.

The German coach said that Liverpool did not set the pace at the Parc des Princes and this riled the former Borussia Dortmund manager hugely.

“A reaction is always important – we have to play better than we did in Paris,” he told his Friday press conference.

“You can’t always carry the last game into the next game.

“In Paris, I was not happy with the start. We have to set the intensity in a game.”

Liverpool turn their attention back to domestic matters this weekend as they welcome Everton across Stanley Park to Anfield.

Everton are searching for their first win in a Merseyside derby in over eight years but arguably come into this game with their strongest starting eleven for some years now.

Liverpool have three Premier League games before facing Napoli in their final group game in the Champions League where a win by two goals or more will puts The Reds through to the knock out stages.
