Jurgen Klopp agent dismisses Bayern Munich rumours

Jurgen Klopp’s agent has dismissed reports the German could take charge of Bayern Munich in the summer.

Klopp has announced that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season after nine decorated years at Anfield. The 56-year-old has revealed his intention to take a break from the game, though has this week been linked with the soon-to-be vacant position at Bayern Munich.

The German champions have confirmed that Thomas Tuchel will leave his position at the end of the season, following a disappointing run of recent results.

Bayern have lost three consecutive games in all competitions, have dropped eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the title race, and must overturn a 1-0 first-leg defeat in their Champions League last-16 tie with Lazio.

Amid the rumours that Klopp could take charge of Germany’s most successful side his agent, Marc Kosike, has told Sky Germany that his plans to have time away from football are unchanged.

“Jurgen Klopp will not coach any club or national team for a year after this current season. That remains unchanged.”

Klopp will be hoping to lead Liverpool to silverware success before the end of the campaign, with the Reds top of the Premier League table ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Luton. The Merseysiders will also take on Chelsea in the League Cup final this weekend.
