Liverpool join the race to sign N'Golo Kante.

Liverpool have joined the race to sign Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante as the French stars future remains far from certain at the King Power Stadium.

Liverpool is the EIGHTH club to register an interest in the 25-year old who won the Premier League in his first season in England, as well as earning his first call up to the French national team ahead of Euro 2016.

Manchester United are thought to be in pole position to sign Kante, however Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also keen on signing the midfielder, who could be available for around £20million.

Despite Jurgen Klopp’s interest in the combative French ace, it is Jose Mourinho who is thought to be leading the pack, identifying the midfielder as the new Claude Makelele, the man who Mourinho built his team around at Chelsea during his first stint.

Leicester are fighting to keep hold of a host of their Premier League title winning squad, as Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and Kasper Schmeichel have all been linked with big money moves away.
