Jordan Henderson says he is happy with Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Porto in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.
Goals from Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino earned Liverpool a vital first leg win, with Jurgen Klopp’s side taking a two-goal advantage to Portugal for the second leg next week.
Henderson admits he was pleased with his side’s display, which puts them in a commanding position to reach the last four as they bid to reach successive Champions League finals.
”Porto are a good team with good players, you can see that they are dangerous,” Henderson told BT Sport.
“We wanted to come out in the second half and score one or two more but that wasn’t to be. We didn’t create that much and it was a bit stop-start, but overall we have to be pleased to take 2-0 over there.”
