Sadio Mane has sensationally and maybe slightly surprisingly agreed a move to Real Madrid according to reports in France.
The former Southampton star was the main man for Liverpool during his debut campaign at Anfield last season, but has seen himself cast into the show of the phenomenal Mo Salah in this campaign, with the Egyptian banging in an incredible 44 goals in his first year at the club.
Despite being overshadowed by the excellent Egyptian, Mane has still had a pretty decent season, scoring 20 in his 44 appearances for the club, including an impressive 10 in the run to the UEFA Champions League final.
While Mo Salah’s goalscoring heroics has hims been linked with a mega money move to La Liga, with Real and Barca believed to be interested, it is somewhat of a surprise to read these reports emanating out of France that Sadio Mane has agreed a move to the Bernabeu.
However, according to France Football, this agreement was made before Zinedine Zidane’s shock announcement to resign last week.
While Real Madrid’s interest is still there, it is unknown whether Zidane’s departure from the Bernabeu will impact upon the potential deal for the Senegal international.
The article makes no mention however of a deal being reached between the two clubs for the transfer of Mane, and also doesn’t mention any financial figures of an agreement or indeed personal terms on offer.
