Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno has praised the arrival of Naby Keita and Fabinho at the club this summer, describing them as ‘top, top players’.
Liverpool have been one of the biggest spenders in European football this summer, bringing in Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri, as well as sanctioning a world record move for goalkeeper Alisson Becker earlier this week.
While the Reds were one of the most attractive teams to watch in the Premier League last season, the depth of their squad as well as the quality of their defence and goalkeeper was questioned at times.
However with this summer’s acquisitions and the arrival of Virgil van Dijk back in January, Jurgen Klopp’s men will go into the upcoming campaign with a genuine chance for their first ever Premier League title.
With less than three weeks to go until the action gets underway, Alberto Moreno can’t speak highly enough of the clubs summer business:
“With both Naby and Fabinho and now Shaqiri, we’ve brought in top, top players,” he told the official Liverpool FC website.
“Everybody knows that Fabinho is a great midfielder, and from what I’ve seen of Naby in training, he’s just incredible! As we say in Spain, he’s a real pit bull.
“I’m still to see Shaqiri but everyone knows him well for his stats and his Premier League record, and how well he performs.
“I think they are three guys who are going to entertain the fans and give us an awful lot this campaign.”
