Liverpool confirm exits of Arne Slot’s coaching team

Liverpool have confirmed the departures of coaching staff Sipke Hulshoff, Ruben Peeters and Giovanni van Bronckhorst following Arne Slot’s exit.

The trio all formed part of the backroom team under former manager Slot, who was sacked last month after a disappointing second season at Anfield.

Sipke Hulshoff was an assistant coach and joined alongside Slot in 2024, winning the Premier League title in their first season.

Former Netherlands international Van Bronckhorst joined in a similar role last summer, while lead physical performance coach Peeters departs after two years.

“Everybody at LFC thanks Sipke, Ruben and Gio for all their efforts and contributions to the club and wishes them the best for the future,” a club statement said.

Liverpool have appointed Andoni Iraola as Slot’s replacement and are expected to finalise moves for the Spaniard’s former Bournemouth assistants, Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper.

Elphick recently turned down a senior coach role at Bristol City ahead of a proposed switch to Anfield.
