Liverpool have seen a £7million bid for Leicester City starlet Ben Chilwell rejected by the Premier League champions.

Jurgen Klopp is keen to recruit a new left back, after Jose Enrique was released by the club, whilst Alberto Moreno’s defending has been frequently criticised, especially during Liverpools Europa League final defeat to Sevilla last month.

Despite having just one-year remaining on his deal at Leicester, the club are holding out for a fee of around £10million for the 19-year old.

Liverpool may increase their bid, or offer to pay the remainder in installments, but have also identified a number of alternatives, including Hull City left back Andrew Robertson.

Jurgen Klopp is pushing ahead with a deal for Polish winger Piotr Zielinski, whilst also targeting Southampton forward Sadio Mane.
