Liverpool have made a £9.5million move for Poland international Piotr Zielinski according to reports.

The 22-year old midfielder was on the bench during Polands 1-0 victory over Northern Ireland yesterday and is believed to have spoken to Jurgen Klopp on the telephone to discuss what role he would play should he choose Anfield.

Liverpool are not the only club interested in signing Zielinski, as Napoli are also believed to have aspirations to signing the Pole.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentis said:

Liverpool have made a bid for him and Zielinski wants to join them but we are trying to convince the player to join us, because we have an agreement with Udinese.

Zielinski’s current club Udinese are thought to be holding out for a fee of £12million.
