It seems like this summer is going to be somewhat of a goalkeeping merry-go—round, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid all on the look out for new number ones.
Liverpool are desperate for a new ‘keeper, a fact highlighted by the fatal errors produced by Loris Karius in last weeks Champions League final, while Chelsea are thought to have given up hope on Thibaut Courtois extending his current deal at the club and are prepared to cash in on the Belgian.
One of the names that has been linked with a move to both clubs is Roma goalkeeper, Alisson Becker, but reports in Spain now claim that the Brazilian prefers a potential move to Real Madrid.
According to Marca Alisson is confident that he can compete with current Madrid keeper Keylor Navas and is not put off by the club’s uncertain managerial situation, following Zinedine Zidane’s shock departure.
In fact, Zidane’s departure probably makes it easier for Alisson to be the number one at Real Madrid, with the Frenchman always a big fan of Navas.
However, whether the 13 time European champions make a move for the first choice Brazil goalkeeper is yet to be seen, with Los Blancos also linked with the aforementioned Courtois, as well as their persistent interest in Man Utd’s David de Gea.
