Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in signing Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez according to reports in Spain.

The 26-year-old is well regarded at the Bernabeu, but the emergence of Marco Asensio as well as Real Madrid’s wealth of attacking talent in Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo, mean that the Spaniards chances of game time are limited. He made just 12 La Liga starts last season and could be ready to move away to secure more playing time.

Spanish publication Don Balon claim that Premier League duo Liverpool and Arsenal are interested in signing the winger as they look to bolster their ranks before next Thursdays deadline.

Arsene Wenger is looking at him as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who is keen to leave the Gunners, despite Wengers insistence he is not for sale. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is also looking at the winger as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho. Coutinho has handed in a transfer request as Barcelona are ready to make a fourth offer of £136m for the Brazilian.
