Liverpool are said to now be favourites to sign Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland this summer.

According to reports in the Daily Star the Anfield club have stolen a march on Premier League rivals, Chelsea and Arsenal in the race for the England international’s signature.

All three club’s will more than likely be looking to sign a new ‘keeper this summer, and they all see Stoke’s 24-year-old as the perfect signing.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to replace the error prone duo of Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius.

Chelsea, may also be on the lookout for a new ‘keeper with current number one Thibaut Courtois stalling on a new contract, and the Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Arsenal may also be looking to replace the ageing Petr Cech between the sticks at the Emirates.

Despite, being part of a Stoke team battling relegation Butland has put in some imperious performances for the Potters this season.

Tne talented ‘keeper has long been touted as a future star, and will more than likely start as England’s number one during the World Cup in Russia this summer.
