Leno admits Arsenal need to improve away form to finish in top four

Bernd Leno says Arsenal’s current form away from home is not good enough to secure a place in the top four of the Premier League.

The Gunners have lost five five of their twelve away games this season, winning four and drawing the other three, leaving them with 15 points out of a possible 36.

If the Premier League table was based on away form alone, Arsenal would be ninth right now, while Spurs would be top with an astonishing 33 points from 13 games.

Goalkeeper Bernd Leno believes that the North London side have to improve away from the Emirates Stadium or risk missing out on Champions League qualification.

Of their chances of making the Top Four, Leno said: “I think we are still in a good position to go to the top four.”

“We still have big games and I think we need more away wins, because at home we play very good. We win many games at home, but I think to go into the top again we need more away wins.”

Arsenal, who are away to Huddersfield this Saturday, lie three points outside the Top Four in sixth in the table.
