Everton have agreed a deal to make Leicester’s Steve Walsh the new Director of Football at Goodison Park.

Sky Sports claim that the clubs have agreed a deal that will see Walsh move to the Merseyside club and take up a role as Director of Football to work alongside new manager Ronald Koeman.

Walsh, who has been at with Leicester since 2011, is believed to be one of the key individuals responsible for attracting some of the clubs top talents, including Jamie Vardy, N’Golo Kante and Premier League player of the year, Riyad Mahrez.

However, Everton have identified Walsh as an ideal candidate to take over in a newly created role, and are now finalising the terms to take the 51-year old from the King Power Stadium.

Leicester rejected Evertons initial move for Walsh, but have finally agreed a compensation package worth around £2million.
