Leicester City are in talks with Sporting Lisbon over the £30million signing of Islam Slimani.

The striker has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs this summer including Arsenal after he scored 31 goals in 44 games for the club last season, and has already opened his scoring account for this season.

Leicester have opened talks with the Portuguese club regarding a £30million transfer, however Sporting are thought to be holding out for £34million.

West Brom are also interested in signing the Algerian, but he would prefer to join Leicester where he could link up with Algeria teammate Riyad Mahrez as well as play Champions League football.
