Leicester demand £30million for star asset

Leicester City have slapped a £30million price tag on the PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez as big clubs circle for the Algerians signature.

The Telegraph claim that the club have offered Mahrez a huge improvement on his current deal in an attempt to keep the 25-year at the club, with a £100,000-a-week deal thought to be on the table. Mahrez is the latest Leicester Star to be offered a huge wage increase, with offers also on the table to Jamie Vardy and N’Golo Kante, in an attempt to keep their title winning squad together.

However, with Mahrez yet undecided whether to stay at the King Power stadium beyond this summer, Leicester have demanded that any potential suitor stump up £30million for his signature.

The winger was a vital part of the clubs title success last season, scoring 17 goals and providing 11 assists as Leicester romped to the title at odds of 5000-1.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain have all been linked with making a move for the playmaker.
