N’Golo Kante has barely got out of the door at the King Power Stadium and now Riyad Mahrez could be set to follow as Barcelona join the hunt for the Premier Leagues Player of the Year.

Mahrez was one of the key men in Leicesters fairy tale title win last season, but the dream of a double could be over as their squad starts to be dismantled by Europes big boys.

Kante completed a £32million switch to Stamford Bridge over the weekend, and now Riyad Mahrez is the latest name being linked with a high profile departure.

The Daily Express claim that Chelsea remain the favourites to sign the Algerian, whilst Arsenal are also interested. However reports in Spain claim that Barcelona are also prepared to make a move.

The Catalans were thought to have a transfer budget of £50million at the start of the summer, and saw that boosted by £7million with the sale of Marc Bartra who left for Borussia Dortmund. However after splashing out on Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne in the last week, there is not much left in the pot for the cash strapped Champions of Spain.
