Claude Puel has declared that he is looking forward to working with Leicester City’s new signing Youri Tielemans who he regards as an intelligent player.

The Foxes signed the highly-rated 21-year-old Belgian midfielder on loan from Monaco for the rest of the season this week.

Tielemans could start for Leicester against Manchester United on Sunday.

“I am looking forward to working with him,” Puel said.

“He is different to Adrien but can play box to box as well and give better balance in the team to attack. He gives us other options.

“He has a good shot also and he is a clinical player, he can score and assist. He is an intelligent player. It is good for us to have him in the squad.”

Puel will be hoping Tielemans’ arrival can have a positive impact in the Leicester camp.

The Foxes have now gone four games without a win in all competitions, although on Wednesday night they did pick up a very good point at Anfield after their 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

Their next two games are against Manchester United and Spurs so Tielemans will certainly need to hit the ground running if he is to help his new side take anything from those games.
