Leeds are considering a move for Manchester United’s Timothy Fosu-Mensah, should the defender cut short his loan spell at Fulham.
The 21-year-old has struggled to establish himself since arriving at Craven Cottage in the summer, making just one substitute appearance since Claudio Ranieri’s arrival as manager, and reports are suggesting he could return to Old Trafford early.
Fulham are reportedly keen on a move for Chelsea defender Gary Cahill, and Fosu-Mensah may be moved on to make room for the former England international.
Should Fosu-Mensah return to Manchester United this month, Leeds are thought to be interested in signing the Dutchman until the end of the season as they look to bolster their defensive options.
Leeds have injury problems in defence with Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi absent, and Fosu-Mensah could help fill those defensive voids.
Capable of operating at centre-back, right-back and in midfield, the three-time Dutch international would be able to provide a depth of cover as Leeds seek promotion to the Premier League.
