Lazio admit they could sell Manchester United target, Milinkovic-Savic

Lazio President Claudio Lotito has admitted that the Italian club could sell midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, with Manchester United one of a number of Europes giants thought to be interested.

Aside from Manchester United, the Serbian midfielder has attracted the attentions of Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus, making him one of the most sought-after midfielders in the world right now.

Despite the 23-year-old having only recently penned a new deal to keep him at the club until 2023, Lazio would be willing to sell if they received a suitable offer.

“In today’s football, it is difficult for a player to tie himself to just one club for the rest of his career,” club president Lotito told Calciomercato.

“But at Lazio we are doing well.

“Unfortunately, Lazio don’t have the same economic potential as Barcelona and Real Madrid.

“When the conditions are on our side and an offer you can’t refuse arrives, then we will face the matter.”

SMS has been touted as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba, who has been linked swapping United for Barcelona or a return to Juventus.
