Former Arsenal right-back Lauren has backed a potential move for William Saliba.
The 18-year-old is reportedly a target for Arsenal this summer after impressing for St. Etienne this season, despite only making 16 Ligue 1 appearances, with reports suggesting that the French side value him at around €30 million (£26m).
His performances have also seen him linked with Manchester United this summer, and former Gunners defender Lauren, who was of course a part of the infamous ‘Invincibles’ squad of 2003/4, reckons that ‘the future is bright’ for the France U19 international.
“Yes, he looks a very good player,” he told AmericanGambler.com.
“Strong, tall, can come out of the back with the ball and an international for France.
“He reads the game very well, which is important for a player at the back, you have to anticipate and he looks very good at just 18, so the future is bright.”
