Lampard urges ‘maximum’ concentration as Chelsea travel to Lille in the Champions League

Frank Lampard has urged ‘maximum’ concentration from his inexperienced Chelsea side as they prepare to face Lille in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Blues travel to France to face the Ligue 1 side in midweek, looking to bounce back following defeat to Valencia at Stamford Bridge in their first group stage clash.

The trip to Lille will be the first experience of an away European fixture for several of the club’s young talent, with the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori currently enjoying their first taste of Champions League football.

Chelsea boss Lampard has warned. that much like a game of ruletka online, his side must maintain their concentration throughout a difficult encounter, as the club look to register their first points in their bid to reach the knock-out stages.

“For some, it will be their first taste of that [a Champions League away game] and they need to learn very quickly,” said Lampard. “Anywhere in Europe, away in the Champions League is tough.

“There’s a mindset to it, an approach to it, and our concentration levels have to be maximum. We saw that against Valencia, where we were the better team, but we switched off for a second and lost the game.

“We need to learn those lessons fast, plus we have experienced players in the team that need to help that and the young players on that front.”
